Cancellation Policy

Welcome to Drive Smart Academy. By booking a lesson or using our services at https://www.drivesmartsd.com, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. 1. Eligibility To book and participate in lessons, you must: Possess a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license Be physically and mentally fit to operate a vehicle Provide accurate and complete information at the time of booking 2. Booking & Payments All lessons must be booked in advance through our website or by contacting us directly. Payment is due at the time of booking unless other arrangements are made in writing. Prices are subject to change at any time, but confirmed bookings will not be affected. 3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson will result in forfeiture of the lesson without refund. No-shows result in forfeiture of the lesson without refund. 4. Service Area Policy If a lesson is booked outside the instructor’s designated service area, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the lesson. We will attempt to notify the customer and offer alternatives if available. 5. Retry Policy Students under 18 who: Complete three (3) paid driving lessons with us, and Fail their first DMV driving test, are eligible for one (1) free 2-hour lesson to help prepare for a second attempt. This policy is non-transferable and has no cash value. Terms: Proof of test failure required Lesson must be booked within 30 days of the failed test Offer valid once per student Complimentary lessons require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson or failure to attend will result in forfeiture of the free lesson. If the student wishes to reschedule a forfeited complimentary lesson, a $50 rebooking fee will be required. 6. Safety & Conduct Students must follow all instructor directions and drive safely at all times. Instructors reserve the right to cancel a lesson without refund if a student is under the influence of drugs/alcohol or engages in unsafe behavior. Disrespectful, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
